Main Panel (Dashboard)
The Dashboard or Main Panel is the analytical core of Kaptur. Here you will find a detailed, visual summary of your trading performance and market behavior in real time.
1. Interpreting Analytical Cards
At the top of the Dashboard, analytical cards present a summary of your performance for the selected time period:
- Net PnL: Displays your actual profits or losses, subtracting the commissions charged by the broker. It is color-coded green for profits and red for losses.
- Win Rate: The percentage of closed trades that ended with a positive balance out of the total trades executed.
- Profit Factor: The mathematical relationship between gross profits and gross losses. A profit factor above 1.0 indicates a profitable trading system during the time range.
- Trading Costs: A detailed summary showing the cumulative money lost to broker commissions and its impact on your total net profits.
2. Market Performance Comparison (Alpha)
Are you actually a profitable trader, or are you just buying in a bull market where everything goes up? Kaptur resolves this by comparing your portfolio directly against real market benchmarks like the SPY (S&P 500) and QQQ (Nasdaq 100).
- Market Beater Card: Shows whether you have outperformed (positive Alpha) a passive buy-and-hold position in the market indices during the same period.
- Alpha Chart: A visual chart that superimposes your cumulative PnL line over the percentage curves of SPY and QQQ, helping you identify whether you are beating the market or taking inefficient risks.
