Focus Mode (Pre-Session Ritual)
Before you open the market and risk capital, your mind must be in the right state. Focus Mode is an immersive tool designed to calm your mind and force you to review your playbook rules before you start trading.
1. Activating the Pre-Session Ritual
The ritual can be started in two ways:
- Daily Reminder: If you have configured reminders in your Playbook, Kaptur will send you a notification at the scheduled time. Tapping it will launch Focus Mode immediately.
- Manual Start: You can tap the Focus Mode icon in the corner of the Playbook at any time of the day.
2. Immersive Dark Screen and Swipeable Cards
When activated, the phone's interface will darken completely, hiding notifications, buttons, or operating system distractions.
- Progress Segments: A top progress bar (similar to social media stories) shows you how many rules you need to review and accept.
- Conscious Reading: A card will present your first trading rule in large text. Read the rule consciously and absorb it.
- Swipe-to-Accept: To move to the next card, you must swipe the card up or to the right. You will see a green background glow and feel a haptic response (vibration) confirming your commitment to that rule.
- Calibration: If you try to swipe quickly without reading, the system offers physical resistance to prevent empty, automatic swiping.
3. Success Screen and Direct Broker Access
Once you have accepted all your rules, the app displays a success screen with a green checkmark confirming you are mentally ready. From here, Kaptur offers two choices:
- Go to Kaptur: Safely closes the ritual and returns you to the main Dashboard.
- Open Broker (IBKR Mobile): Launches your broker's application (Interactive Brokers) directly on your device so you can start trading immediately with a focused mind, bypassing your phone's home screen to prevent distractions.
